**This position is specifically for an experienced Buffer Operator - commercial tire retread plant**

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Retread Buffer Operator to operate specialized buffing equipment, remove worn tread from commercial truck tires, and prepare each casing for the next stage of the Michelin retread process.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Previous commercial tire, retread, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred
Previous experience operating tire buffing equipment strongly preferred
General mechanical aptitude and close attention to detail
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate commercial tire buffing equipment
Remove worn tread and prepare tire casings for retreading
Inspect casings for visible damage or irregularities
Buff each tire to the proper size, shape, and specifications
Follow Michelin retread procedures and company safety standards
Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
Skills and Abilities:
Safety-conscious and committed to producing quality work
Mechanically inclined and comfortable operating production equipment
Dependable, hardworking, and coachable
Ability to follow established instructions and procedures
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet production expectations in a fast-paced environment
