**This position is specifically for an experienced Buffer Operator - commercial tire retread plant**

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Retread Buffer Operator to operate specialized buffing equipment, remove worn tread from commercial truck tires, and prepare each casing for the next stage of the Michelin retread process.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous commercial tire, retread, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred
• Previous experience operating tire buffing equipment strongly preferred
• General mechanical aptitude and close attention to detail
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently operate commercial tire buffing equipment
• Remove worn tread and prepare tire casings for retreading
• Inspect casings for visible damage or irregularities
• Buff each tire to the proper size, shape, and specifications
• Follow Michelin retread procedures and company safety standards
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable operating production equipment
• Dependable, hardworking, and coachable
• Ability to follow established instructions and procedures
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
