We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our TRACS Technician role.

The TRACS Technician is responsible for the safety, efficiency, and completion of any day-to-day warehouse tasks. This includes mount/dismount area, shipping/receiving, paint/wheel reconditioning, as well as organization of stock and customer retread area tires.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

  • Mount and dismount various sized commercial tires, utilizing the mount/dismount machine, T45A Tire Iron/Spoon Bar, and/or the “Golden Tool.”
  • Accurately load and unload all tire shipments and assist with completion of paperwork.
  • Assist with the efficiency and flow of warehouse inventory.
  • Assist with all monthly inventory audits.
  • Ensure warehouse space is utilized efficiently.
  • Accurately identify and enter casing information into BIB Tread Mobile device (BTM), as well as properly tag client’s tires and wheels.
  • Properly and safely sandblast, powder coat paint, and cure customer wheels.
  • Assist with the scrap out analysis process for Snider customers.
  • Assist with reconditioned wheel shipments that are outbound to Snider locations.
  • Assist with counting and reconciling monthly retread inventory.
  • May be required to assist route driver with customer pickups and deliveries.
  • Responsible for the overall organization, inventory, and cleanliness of warehouse.
  • Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and demonstrate safety conscious mindset.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.

This position will be based in a commercial tire manufacturing/distribution center at one of our commercial retread and/or TRACS facilities. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, interacts with moving mechanical parts/equipment on a daily basis, and the noise level at the plant is usually moderate to high.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in similar role or industry is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Forklift certification, obtained after employment.
  • Commercial TIA certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Safety conscious at all times.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Coachable, hardworking, and possess general mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have strong time management skills, as well as close attention to detail.
  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
  • Ability to complete all tasks assigned, properly with little to no follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to learn and operate provided service equipment and hand tools.
  • Ability to work a rotating, on-call schedule, including nights and weekend shifts.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and/or smart phone skills.
