Accounts Payable Analyst

We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Accounts Payable Analyst role.

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for verifying, PO matching, entering, and paying the company’s vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner. This position will work with the company ERP and web based software to manage the AP process. In addition, the AP Analyst will research discrepancies that arise from invoice exceptions.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

  • Adheres to all policies, procedures and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.
    • Print and scan incoming vendor invoices to the AP system.
    • Send vendor invoices to the appropriate role for approval.
    • Match vendor invoices with purchase orders.
    • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies that do not match to purchase orders or do not have an approval.
    • Review coded invoices for accuracy.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, branches, and others to resolve issues.
    • Assist with reviewing and processing vendor statements.
    • Assist with weekly check run processing and mailing payments.

This position is based at the company’s corporate office. The majority of this position will consist of normal office tasks and interaction amongst peers and Snider branches. Overnight and out of market travel to other Snider locations and customers is less than 25%. When traveling to Snider locations, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate to high.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least 2 years' experience within the industry or a related management position.

Certificates and Licenses:

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have strong organizational and time management skills, as well as, close attention to detail.
• Strong math skills.
• Proficient with 10-Key.
• Ability to understand and meet month, quarter, and year end deadlines.
• Understanding of invoicing and billing procedures.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and the ability to learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, BTN, etc.)
• Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to use all necessary office equipment, scanner, facsimile machines, calculators, postage machines, copiers, etc.
• Sensitivity to all confidential matters.
• Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
• Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime based on department needs.
• Understanding of industry standards and practices in accomplishing these standards.
• Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
• Analytical skills, including research, ability to interpret data, and ability to analyze information.
