We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Central Dispatcher role.

The purpose of the Central Dispatcher is to provide the daily direction and distribution of service work orders to the commercial tire technicians.  In addition, the role provides oversight of the work performed to ensure proper safety procedures and processes are followed to ensure employee safety, while simultaneously ensuring that customer needs are met in the timeliest, most effective, efficient, and safest manner possible.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

  • Receives, creates, and assigns all service work orders to respected tire technicians.
  • Communication with both local and national account customers within the transportation industry.
  • Responsible for ensuring the growth and productivity of tire technicians
  • Ensure that all monthly revenue goals are met and/or exceeded in expectations.
  • Monitor the quality of all service work performed.
  • Generate computer work orders for all products leaving the warehouse. 
  • Ensure accuracy on work orders, prior to closing in our point of sale system.
  • Operate Michelin 24/7 or On Call website
  • Conduct Quarterly MCSN Audits at the branches under the Central Dispatch Umbrella
  • Ensure each branch meets its MOC metrics of Acceptance, Roll Time, and our repair documenting system usage                                                                                                                        
  • Interview, Recruit, and On-Board new tire technicians
  • Ensure tire technicians complete their TIA 300 recertification.
  • Work on MOC reporting, road call disputes, and ensuring each branch passes acceptance, roll time, and our repair documenting system metrics
  • Ensure that all customers, including local accounts, receive the highest level of service and cooperation
  • Work with Regional Manager and Branch Manager to develop plans for additional service trucks/service personnel based on needs and growth
  • Manage tire technician scheduling and plan accordingly to staff each branch
  • Ensure that all tire and product are on work orders before the technician runs their service calls
  • Monitor hours of service for commercial drivers in order to be sfor DOT Compliance.
  • Maintain a strong safety consciousness at all times

This position is based at the company’s corporate office. The majority of this position will consist of normal office tasks and interaction amongst peers and Snider branches. Overnight and out of market travel to other Snider locations and customers is less than 25%. When traveling to Snider locations, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate to high.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience within the industry or related management position.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity and AS400 software is a plus.
  • 1-2 years’ experience on DOT compliance on hours of service for a commercial vehicle.  Certificates and Licenses:

•    Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, Paylocity, BTN, etc.) 
•    Must have strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as, close attention to detail.
•    Ability to cycle inventory, run reports, and communicate with upper management.
•    Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
•    Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
•    Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, with minimal supervision.
•    Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and client base.
•    Ability to understand the top 30 customer’s portfolio, as well as, the top 10 potential. 
•    Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
•    Demonstrate proficient analytical thinking and business insight.
•    Requires the ability to identify new opportunities for growth.
•    Must be able to work in a results-oriented fast-paced environment. 
•    Sensitivity to confidential matters.
•    Must exemplify sound decision-making skills and be able to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
•    Must possess the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, solve problems and resolve conflict.
